CALVET CABERNET SAUVIGNON FRANCE

Very intense garnet red to purple, almost black. Red fruit, blackcurrant, green peppers, with notes of spices and hay, typical from this variety. Fine tannic body, this wine is characterize by notes of liquorice, fine flavor and long persistent.

The grapes are harvested at perfect maturity and pressed quickly at low temperature. The must is left to settle at low temperature for around 12 hours with sulfur and yeasts. Fermentation takes place at low temperature. Alcoholic fermentation lasts one week. The wine is then clarified and stored under inert gas at low temperature. May types of soils are found in the vins de pays D’Oc production area, including sandy, clay and limestone and schistous soils.

Clear, light gold with a slight hint of green. Full expression with notes of fresh butter acacia flower, pineapple and tropical fruit. Well-rounded, smooth, well-balanced with lemony notes. Complement grilled fish and white meats very well.
