OBAN 10 YEARS COASTAL ORCHARD

Imagine a humble seed taking root at the bottom of a coastal bay. From this tiny shell, a magnificent sea-irrigated orchard blooms. At each low tide, a harmonious explosion of flowers ripples with warm waves of nectar, scenting the coast with an abundance of fragrances. Like the smallest of seeds, Oban is one of Scotland's smallest distilleries, whose illustrious whiskies thrive on their imposing character.
This 10-year-old is aged in second and third fill casks before being partially matured in recently toasted ex-bourbon casks, freshly "seasoned" with Oloroso Sherry, bringing notes of baked apple and subtle nuances of salted vanilla. Toasted oak enhances the whole, with a bouquet of spicy nutmeg, sweet cinnamon and hints of clove. Green, lush and deliciously aromatic, the Oban distillery is the living heart of its coastal hometown.
